Rumination causes us to lose sight of the truth. Instead of seeing ourselves the way God sees us, we see other stuff. Stuff that isn’t true. And we live in regret and shame from our past. Rehashing what we did… where we went… what we said…
We chew on it, then swallow it, and then regurgitate it up again… Each time it gets amplified a little louder…
