Stuck part 1: Sexual Sin -The Crisis

Many of us are stuck. We are struggling to move forward with our relationship with God. God wants to be free! Free from all sin, not just sexual sin, even though that is what we are focusing on in this message. But before we can be free from sin, there has to be some sort of crisis.

The target of the archer is the gold center bullseye of the target. But, there is an affliction that plagues some archers called "Gold Fever", where they let the air loose as soon as they see the gold bullseye in their sights before they get their true aim. 

Sometimes as followers of Jesus, we can suffer from the same affliction. We act before we have our true aim on the target that Jesus would have us go after.

Go For The Gold part 1: Commitment Level

With the Olympics happening over the next few weeks, we have found some inspiration as to what it looks like to be a follower of Jesus. In First Corinthians chapter 9, the apostle Paul talks about how athletes discipline themselves in an extreme way to win a prize that is temporary. The question becomes: "How much more should we be COMMITTED, as Christians, when our reward is eternal. 

Encounters part 13: The Restoration of Peter

Peter was one of the most faithful disciples Jesus...most of the time. There was an important moment where he failed to be faithful and it almost caused him to miss out on what Jesus had for him. But an encounter in John 21 with Jesus put him back on track. Maybe we need an encounter like this...
